Completion Acceptance of the First Waste to Energy Power Plant in Ethiopia
  On August 19, 2018, the Reppie waste to energy power plant in Ethiopia, which is operated, maintained and technically trained by LiNeng Electric Power Company, was officially completed. Mulatu, Ethiopian President, and Tan Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia attended the completion ceremony. Zhang Yubo, general manager of Lineng Electric Power Company, and Wu Runbao, deputy general manager attended the completion ceremony and inspected the project.
 

 
  The Reppie waste to energy power plant is in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, which is the first waste to energy power plant in Ethiopia, and also is the first waste to energy power plant in Africa. Lineng Electric Power Company mainly undertakes the operation and maintenance of the power plant, and the technically training for local workers employed by the owner Ethiopia Electric Power plant Company. The power plant is fully complies with Chinese standards and equipped with Chinese equipment, disposes of municipal waste up to 1400 tons per day and generates power up to 185 gigawatt hours annually. The power plant can not only solve the problem of garbage disposal in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, improve citizens’ living environment, but also turn waste into treasure, convert garbage into electricity, and provide a stable and reliable power supply for Addis Ababa.
 

 
  The Reppie waste to energy Power Plant in Ethiopia is also the first garbage power generation project undertook by Lineng Electric Power Company. The company leaders and the project leaders attach great importance to it. Zhang Yubo, general manager of Lineng Electric Power Company and Wu Runbao, deputy general manager of Lineng Electric Power Company attended the completion ceremony on site. They inspected the work site and living area successively, and put forward requirements for the main project managers. They requested that while guaranteeing the project operates safely and stably, the project staff’s living conditions also should be improved, so as to ensure them to work smoothly.
